Afsheen Nehoray graduated with a Master of Oriental Medicine from Emperor's College in 1991 and was awarded a Diplomat in Acupuncture by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncturists, in 1992. In addition to his university training, he studied specialty topics with experts in the field. These studies include: Japanese acupuncture techniques with Kiko Matsumoto; pediatric acupuncture with Miki Shima; gynecological problems with Dr. Jian-Fu Jiang; and Chinese internal medicine, including digestive problems and organ complications, with Dr. Jian Lin Wang. Nehoray is certified and licensed by the State of California and began his practice in 1991. In addition to meeting privately with clients, Nehoray lectures regularly on the connection between the mind, body, emotions and Oriental medicine.Afsheen Nehoray, L.Ac., offers his clients specialized expertise in acupuncture and Chinese medicine and caring for the mind, body and emotions. Through Health Within, Nehoray examines the root of a patient's symptoms and uses acupuncture and Chinese medicine to treat the underlying problem, rather than suppress the symptoms. Nehoray's staff support his vision of a healing center that provides a tranquil setting, where each patient is treated as a whole person, and receives the time and attention needed to complete the healing process.
