I moved to Orlando in 1980. In 1994 I graduated the Reese Institute of Massage therapy in Oviedo, Florida. Massage license number MA17506. Early in my practice I discovered the potential for profound changes in the body using massage therapy. This encouraged me to push myself to work harder and continue with advanced training to enhance my abilities to help my clients out of pain. My main motivation as a massage therapist is helping a person regain their ability to do normal things that most of us take for granted because of their painful condition. There is nothing more gratifying to me than helping a person out of pain.I've been practicing massage therapy in Orlando for over 29 years. license number MA17506. Early on in my practice I discovered that massage therapy and bodywork has the potential to make profound changes in the body to help relieve pain. I have been continually taking advanced courses to enhance my ability to help others out of pain. I have been in my current office building for over 22 years. Establishment License number MM12308. I have found that being a practice of one has enabled me to grow as a therapist and provide each client with superior attention to detail. Every session is with me personally so that you never receive a cookie cutter massage.

We specialize in massage therapy and bodywork for stubborn chronic pain, injury rehabilitation and enhanced sports performance. Our primary type of therapeutic bodywork/massage therapy is Structural Energetic Therapy or SET. SET not only addresses the pain but more importantly the structural distortions that are causing the pain. Painful issues such as herniated disks, back pain, hip pain, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel symptoms, and shoulder pain can be improved or even eliminated with SET protocols that bring the body's structure into balance. Over the past 29 years as a licensed massage therapist I have also trained to become a Certified Neuromuscular Therapist. Both of these types of therapy include the treatment of trigger points and myofascial release and are advanced deep tissue therapy techniques. Was looking for local businesses to try myofascial therapy for my FIbromyalgia and came across Creative Bodyworks. The practice owner was very informative and patient on the phone during when I called for a treatment recommendation and scheduling. He scheduled me to see Jose and I had pleasant first experience. Feels good to be understood by a professional that's fully knowledgable about my condition and treatment for it. I look forward to continue treatments here.

Followup to the below. Joel has been working on the issues related to my recovery after C 5-6. His ability to understand the relationship between what "hurts" and what is causing it is what makes this VERY different than a massage. For example, even after the hip replacement the muscle pain was in / around the left buttocks, upper leg-groin area. He worked on my leg - quads, calf, inner thigh for 45 minutes without touching the area that hurt. I got up and walked around and the pain was significantly reduced even though he hadn't touched the painful area yet. -------- Now 7 weeks post hip replacement. Currently in PT. Seeing Joel GREATLY relieved the muscle pain in my leg and low back from having walked around with everything out of whack for almost a year. Only wish he was more available, but a one man show who is really good makes for limited availability. ------ I have significant pain in my leg related to my need for a hip replacement. When I started seeing Joel and Jose 5 weeks ago I could barely walk. Now the pain has been significantly reduced and the treatment has been incrementally decreasing the pain issues after each visit. Cannot recommend more highly.

I’m someone who has surgery pending chronic sciatica, and this is my last resort. I can’t tell you how worth it, it was to pay for this massage. It was intentional, intense but gratifying. The best massage Iv ever had in my life’. The pain was there but he really did an amazing Job i walked there limping, I left walking fine, 70’percent better! It’s a process and a journey and I’m excited, eager to see the benefits over time. I’m committed, so I’ll be leaving a review of my journey. First visit done, and I’m feeling better! Michael is the man ! God bless him !

It has helped my body in many way and every time I leave the treatment room I feel relieved and lighter.
