Dr. Mark grew up in the Lawrence, KS area and has always been a fan of the Kansas Jayhawks. His life was changed at the age of 19 when a work-related injury landed him in a local chiropractic office that revived his overall health and well-being. So much so, that he decided to become a chiropractor from his own personal experience. Now he helps people with the same, or similar health conditions regain their health as well.The Chiropractic Experience was established in 1999 in Lawrence, KS by Dr. Mark Howarter. His passion for wellness allowed him to expand into its current family chiropractic care center, focused on lifestyle coaching and overall wellness. Dr. Mark has also traveled to Guatemala and to Ghana, West Africa to on four missions trips to bring chiropractic, healing and hope to people in need in those countries. He has also cared for celebrities, professional and college athletes and performing artists, recognizing that all people can benefit from chiropractic care. Dr. Mark is very active in the Lawrence, KS community, continually working with the Lawrence Public Schools district, LEAP program, University of Kansas, University of Kansas Lied Center, LiveWell Lawrence, Lawrence GiveBack program, and Lawrence Heights Christian Church.
