I first discovered CWC’s offsite clinic 1.5 years ago because several of my acquaintances are long time patients and recommended it to me. I was skeptical at first because it seemed too good to be true. After all, where can you find anything that’s truly free, much less high quality holistic wellness services often considered a luxury, in a HCOL city like San Diego? However, as soon as I walked into the clinic I was immediately put at ease by the warm welcome I received from the clinical administrative coordinator Jess, who patiently explained to me the diverse array of services offered and helped me complete the straightforward registration process in the clean and spacious reception area. I was nervous because I had never received acupuncture nor seen a naturopathic doctor before and had poor experiences with massages elsewhere but was convinced to try from the glowing reviews of other patients and gentle encouragement. I soon realized I had nothing to be worried about - from the initial consultation through the end of my visit I was treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. Any concerns I had were actively listened to and addressed with compassion. Since then, I’ve tried every service available and the clinicians/trainees are all very knowledgeable and skilled at their craft. Attending clinic has done wonders for my body both physically and mentally including improving a variety of health conditions and reducing my stress/anxiety levels. I’d say the only potential “downside” of the offsite free clinic is that it operates on a lotto system in which you draw numbers to determine appointment slots when clinic opens but you’re always given accurate estimations of your expected wait time so you can run other errands if needed. Yoga practitioners lead free group classes while you wait and it’s always nice to chat with other community members. Overall, I’d say this clinic is a hidden gem and provides an invaluable resource for the underserved.

This place has been a true lifesaver! I brought my doctor’s results and left feeling at peace, with free supplements too (thank you so much Stevie). After attending two Wednesdays, I’ve learned so much about caring for myself naturally. The staff is amazing, ask for Jessica for guidance and any support; she’ll connect you with exactly who you need to see. She’s been my angel there. I will be back again. 🙂

Acupuncture with Dr. Ryan has completely changed my life. I starting having debilitating migraines with aura when I was 17, at first once or twice a year but steadily increasing. Now I'm 36 and for the last several years I've been getting 2-6 migraines a month. I got acupuncture for the first time with Dr. Ryan in mid October 2025, have continued going every 2-3 weeks since, and as of today it's been exactly 8 weeks since my last migraine. Not even a hint of one. I have turned down jobs, ruined holidays, and missed countless important life events - or even just needed weekends - to migraines; flying home to visit my family in Europe was sure to result in a week of nonstop migraine agony. My job became extremely difficult. I quit drinking alcohol, changed exercise habits, changed my diet, everything I could think of, all of it without doing anything lasting for the migraines. With acupuncture it feels like I'm living a normal life again. I go to the store and don't worry about not being able to drive home. I can continue in my career. I can leave the house to read. If I could go back 17 years and start acupuncture as a teenager, I would do it in a second, because nothing else has worked and this has. Literally life-changing.

Visited the free Holistic Wellness event expecting healing and kindness. Instead, witnessed unprofessional behavior by a female staff member/intaker . She disregarded me while flirting and chatting with my companion, even hugging him in front of me. I left due to discomfort and disrespect. Disappointing experience. Update: Dear community wellness team, I appreciate your outreach regarding my review. However, I feel it's important to express why I cannot take it down at this time. My experience at the center felt disheartening and unprofessional, and I believe my review accurately reflects that. It’s disappointing to hear suggestions about removing it without addressing my concerns or the behavior I witnessed. While I understand that the center may have many positive aspects, my personal experience was negative, and I feel it’s important to share that for the sake of transparency. There are other holistic wellness centers available that prioritize professionalism and respect, and I believe it’s crucial for potential clients to be aware of the experiences they might encounter. Until my concerns are properly addressed, I feel justified in keeping my review as part of my commitment to honesty and openness. Thank you for your understanding.
