Besides balancing people's bodies, I like to catch waves when I can. I'm a husband and father of three. So when I'm not out in the water, I'm spending time with my family outdoors.One upper cervical adjustment relieved Dr. Collan's chronic pain for months and he noticed related improvements in his mood, energy, and posture. Convinced that more people need to be brought the relief he gained from upper cervical adjustments and corrective exercise, he opened Active Rest Chiropractic.

Upper Cervical Adjustments (Spinal Correction)
Upper cervical means the top of the neck. The Atlas (C1) and Axis (C2) are most often used vertebrae to gently reposition the head relative to the body. This correction creates a "domino" effect in the downward direction(with gravity). Twisting or popping the spine is rarely used in practice.
Active Release Techniques(ART) is the gold standard in soft tissue treatment. We have been having unexpected successes with shoulder concerns, especially in conjunction with a duly qualified physical therapist.
