The Active Recovery Lab is the brainchild of Mary Chu. Since graduating with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in 2011, Mary has worked as a sports medicine and orthopedic physical therapist throughout California. During that time, it became apparent to her that the public lacks an understanding about simple techniques to treat and prepare women from the dramatic changes of pregnancy and giving birth. Additionally, there is a gap in understanding how to help a woman heal after labor so that she can feel confident in her body and regain control of her body in the early stages of motherhood. Mary created the ARL to give proper rehabilitative and fitness advice and help women understand that they do not have to suffer the fear of pelvic pain and incontinence.We just opened March 2019 as a mobile PT clinic and are available at a time and location at your convenience.
