I've been seeing Sandy (for chiropractic care) and Mia (for massage) for years, but I just unlocked a new level with Kate (for acupuncture)! Not only is she warm, welcoming, kind, and compassionate, she is a miracle worker and highly skilled! I threw my back out recently and was lucky enough to get an appt with Kate. She did a thorough review before she got to work with acupuncture, fire cupping, and e-stim. I was in tears the next day due to the SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT I felt after being in debilitating pain for 4 days! While I'm not new to acupuncture, I really appreciated Kate's clear communication throughout the entire appointment. She walked me through everything and I was never startled or nervous, she checked in with each step of the process to ensure the treatment was positively impacting me. I went back for a second appt and felt the same -- so cared for! I would be remiss if I didn't also mention the staff! Joan in Los Osos, Naan & Monica in SLO, are all fantastic and make you feel like family! Live Well SLO (formerly SLO Wellness) has been my go-to chiropractic and massage place for almost a decade. I am greeted at the door by the vivacious and perpetually cheerful Nan, who can make even a foggy day seem sunny with her personality. And, Jasmine is the bomb for deep-tissue massages; in fact, I always do 90 minutes with her because she is so dang good. Carlos (Dr. Marin), too, is amazing: I like how he woos my body by moving my limbs and pushing on pressure points before he adjusts me so that my body is loosened and ready for a gentle adjustment. I always leave the office feeling better than when I walked in. I live part time in Idaho, and I wish I could find a business like Live Well SLO there. Give it a try! You won't be sorry.
