Dr. Shelley attended Sherman College of Chiropractic and graduated summa cum laude and class valedictorian in 1983. After a one-year internship in Arlington, Dr. Shelley started his own practice in Edmonds, where he practiced as the senior chiropractor for 16 years. During his own journey of treatment for injuries, he discovered that in order to recover to the fullest degree possible, he needed the expertise of several disciplines. This realization inspired him to develop Olympic Spine & Sports Therapy, one of the first multi-disciplinary injury rehabilitation clinics in the greater Puget Sound area. Dr. Shelley has post-graduate training in nine different techniques including the Pettibon™ and Chiropractic Bio-Physics™ (CBP) methods. Pettibon and CBP are the foremost techniques that exist in the profession for posture correction and spinal rehabilitation. Dr. Shelley is one of 24 doctors in Washington State that is certified in CBP.Dr. Mark Shelley has been practicing for over 25 years and in 2000 he founded Olympic Spine and Sports Therapy, one of the first multi-disciplinary physical medicine clinics in Western Washington. He founded the clinic after sustaining numerous injuries himself due to his active lifestyle. From personal experience, he determined that the ideal treatment program combines several different disciplines and as a provider, he realized his patients needed the same integrated care. To address this need, he created a treatment team using spinal decompression, massage therapy, chiropractic care, physical therapy, and cold laser therapy. The treatments all work together, producing greatly enhanced results.
