Dr.Ashtiani graduated from Churchill H.S. After completing her undergraduate studies in Biology, she continued her education in Health Promotion at UTSA. Dr.Ashtiani continued her academics to pursue a Doctor or Chiropractic Degree from Texas Chiropractic College. She enjoyed spending time with her family and dog, Mellie, cheering on the Spurs, traveling and practicing yoga. Advancement of the profession is a focus of hers and she is currently a member of the Texas Chiropractic Association (TCA), American Chiropractic Association (ACA), LOOP San Antonio, UTSA Alumni Association, and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Professional Accreditation include: Graston Provider, Acupuncture Board Certified, Fascisl Movement Taping levels 1 & 2 (RockTape), Activator Technique, and Webster Technique.

I have been seeing Dr. Shabby for two years and hands down the best chiropractor! I have been treated for every lingering ache and pain post-military days, during my pregnancy, and postpartum. As a medical professional, I can say Dr. Shabby perfected holistic and Western medicine approaches to provided the best care and explain the reasoning. She helped my son with early feeding issues and still treats him. Her office and staff are welcoming and created a safe place for women and children. It is a judgement free zone and we refer everyone we know. If you are looking for a place to treat you and your family, without fear of pushing treatments, Essence Chiropractic & Wellness is what you have been looking for. All the crunchy, but like…zero judgement.

I’ve worked with both Dr. Ashtiani and Dr. Kotson at the San Antonio location. I cannot speak highly enough about their knowledge, support, and care for their patients. They have supported me with chiropractic care and acupuncture through pregnancies, chiropractic care for my spouse, and 4yo, and will soon be working with my infant. They are both very intentional in everything they do. A million times will recommend.
