Dr. Michaels completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree through Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 2011. He earned his Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 2000. Dr. Michaels has over seventeen years of clinical experience in various settings, including outpatient orthopedics, inpatient rehabilitation, and home care. In 2014 he became board certified in orthopaedic physical therapy (OCS). Dr. Micahael's areas of clinical interest include manual physical therapy, sports-injury rehabilitation, movement analysis, arthritis rehabilitation, and functional activity restoration. Dr. Michaels has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) since 2003. He is also an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Dr. Michaels is the clinic director of the Barnegat BSR Physical Therapy clinic.In 2007 BSR Physical Therapy opened their first clinic in Barnegat, NJ. BSR set out to create a unique experience for those suffering from pain, weakness, or limited mobility. To better meet the needs of the community, in 2019 BSR moved to a larger and more up to date facility at the Barnegat 67 Plaza. What to Expect At BSR: You will be examined & managed by the same physical therapist during your course of treatment. Your physical therapist will evaluate your progress at every treatment session. Treatments will be progressed at every session. Your therapist will provide you with the tools and knowledge to achieve your goals. Whether or not you ultimately achieve your goals is primarily up to you. You will be an active participant in your recovery.
