I developed chronic TMJ in pandemic, most mornings I would wake up with a sore jaw, tight neck and shoulders and by 2 pm most days I could not talk or eat, I used to be in excruciating pain by evening that would start in my left jaw and radiate all the way down my left side of the back, arm and neck. I first thought it was a dental issue and after using the night guards I was daily taking Iboprufen. I went to a 3 dental specialist , got 2 TMJ appliances that I would wear at night to prevent grinding my teeth and also was prescribed muscle relaxants by my primary doctor.
