Dr. Joey Miles

In September of 2022 I began experiencing serious heart issues. I had never had any issues before and was in good health otherwise. I visited cardiology specialist in Hickory, Winston, and Charlotte. Nobody had any answers to why this was happening. Over the next 2 months I began to experience other serious conditions that turned my world upside-down including extreme light-headedness, presyncope (feel like you're passing out), ringing in the ears, headaches, body aches, digestive issues, brain fog, and my sympathetic nervous system was running in overdrive. I finally got a diagnosis of dysautonomia, which is a malfunction of the autonomic nervous system. The only problem is that every doctor and specialist I saw told me that there is no treatment. Someone suggested that I visit Healthy Living Spinal Care, and I had nothing to lose so I did. After months of hopelessness, Dr. Olvera gave me hope. It didn't happen overnight but I could tell a difference after the first visit. There were times when I wondered if this was the answer, but I'm glad I stuck with it. Dr. Miles and Dr. Olvera have had to reassure me more than once. I am still under treatment, and though I am not 100% I am on my way there. I would definitely recommend Healthy Living for anyone dealing with dysautonomia or other neurological issues.

After being in a car accident, I struggled with chronic headaches, pain, numbness, and dizziness. Over the course of a year, I went to so many different doctors, had an MRI, and nobody could help. I have been to a couple of chiropractors and this is by far the best. They figured out the issue and brought relief when I honestly wasn't sure that I would be able to live pain free again. I can't thank them enough! Not only are they good at what they do, they are so kind and relational. If you are skeptical of chiropractic care, this is an office you can trust. Due to what I believe to be a 2021 flu-vaccine injury, I came to Dr. Miles & Dr. Autumn with extreme pain in my neck. This after several years of being tossed around neurological & pain specialists' who were eager to prescribe drugs and offer surgery. Meeting with Dr. Miles, referred to me by my best friend who lives with MS, was my last attempt at being able to improve my upper cervical pain before surgery. I am so glad I did! The improvement I have experienced from his upper cervical protocol has been amazing. I am now able to turn my head more freely & manage my neck pain with absolutely no over-the-counter or prescription pain & neurological drugs that left me feeling like a zombie. I am so thankful to all of the wonderful Staff at Healthy Living Spinal Care. Together they have helped me avoid an extreme surgery in hopes of pain-relief.
