Dr Jason Alder is friendly, sincere, helpful, taking the time to carefully explain the X-rays & my particular situation. He was not convinced that adjustments would help me, but left it up to me to decide. I chose to skip it since it was questionable, opting to pursue some physical therapy instead; and he did not charge me for the visit. I appreciated his forthright honesty & integrity. I recommend him wholeheartedly!

So for the last two and a half years, I've been bouncing from Dr to Dr trying to figure out what in the hell was wrong with me. I developed severe migraines from nowhere and they got worse and worse and more frequent. That wasn't the only symptoms, just the most severe... My symptom list was very long. I've been tested for lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and every blood test between, with every single blood test completely normal and showing that I'm completely healthy. The doctors were leaning towards fibromyalgia. I called BS. After extensive research and as a last ditch effort, I contacted an upper cervical care chiropractor. Mr. Jason Alder from Healthful Chiropractic in McKinney. It turns out, my C1 has been out for the last 8-ish years and it was pinching my spinal cord. If you don't know what the C1 is, it's the vertebrae right below your skull that almost every nerve in your body runs through. Although I have a long road to recovery ahead, I am ecstatic to say, my symptoms are now CLEARING... To give you an idea, here are some of the things that are now improving: My acne is now clearing up My hair has stopped breaking off and falling out (yes it caused both of these because my skin and hair was not getting the nutrition it needed... It was essentially DYING. No more migraines, No more dizziness or motion sickness (I couldn't even stand on one leg with my eyes closed before, No more body aches and back pain when I wake up in the morning (I haven't been able to sleep longer than 4 hours a night for the past 3 years or I was guaranteed a migraine or severe body aches almost to the point of not being functional most of the day, My fatigue has vanished, No more Reynaud's syndrome (this is where to have to wear socks all the time because if you don't, your toes turn blue and purple and you can LOSE THEM because your body thinks it's hypothermic, My legs and arms don't randomly go to sleep anymore, My anemia is clearing up, My severe period cramps have eased A LOT, I can stand for long periods of time without pain, My mood swings are going away, My heart rate is slowing down, My vision is improving, The swelling in my hands and feet has diminished, I have started actually having dreams again nightly, My severe brain fog and short term memory loss that was getting worse daily has cleared up a lot, My ADHD is improving... Which is amazing for work because my concentration and focus was completely shot, So you see, after a list of symptoms like that... Why I was bouncing from Dr to Dr. I've also developed alcohol intolerance, which will be tested this weekend to see if I can actually enjoy ONE drink and still be able to get out of bed the next day. This isn't an advertisement for Dr. Alder, but that man is currently my hero. If you think something is wrong, don't give up... Keep searching for answers. I know exactly when my injury happened, during a car accident about 6 years ago, I turned my head on air bag deployment and it hit me in the side of the face... But since I felt fine for several years after wards, I didn't think that could possibly be the cause of everything severe that was happening... Especially not manifesting until numerous years later. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Alder to any and everyone. He's extremely knowledgeable about everything regarding upper cervical care and he listens to everything you have to say. He makes you feel like a friend. Most doctors rush their patients to get to the next. Dr. Alder isn't like that at all. He actually cares about your health.

As a current chiropractic student and someone who's been around, experienced and researched Upper Cervical chiropractic for several years now, I highly recommend Dr. Alder. He is proficient in several upper cervical techniques which gives him a command and deeper understanding of the upper neck than most other practitioners. He also uses the latest imaging technology, cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), to get the most accurate visualization of your upper neck -- from any angle in 3-D! And this is important because we all have different anatomy and precision in upper cervical adjustments makes all the difference in clearing the nervous system and getting people back on their way to health. I found upper cervical specific chiropractic in 2010 while living in Los Angeles. At the time I'd been suffering from a myriad of symptoms and diagnoses closely resembling post-concussion syndrome and multiple sclerosis for 3 years. This type of care restored my health where others could not so much so that I was inspired to do it for a living! While my symptoms have now been gone for many years, Dr. Alder has continued to monitor and keep my nervous system clear. He's a great listener, compassionate, highly trained and a bee keeper too. 5 stars!
